Certificate 3 in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming (ACM30122)  with the added modules of  Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced Training is suited to those wanting to learn everything in the one course and wishing to fast track their entry into the industry as a Groomer or open their own business. Students will learn the practical skills needed to complete grooming services across different breeds and coat types, pet first aid, dog anatomy and dog psychology. Students will experience real day to day pet grooming situations, clientele, time frames and an array of breeds and grooming techniques.  Students will graduate with a Certificate 3 in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming) Plus an AAPPG issued Certificate in Foundation, Intermediate and Advanced Practical Training modules.  This course allows  for students to gain more experience to reinforce their techniques, build on their scissoring skills  and to focus on more advanced  breeds and breed standard grooming.  Students will complete practical assessments for accreditation during their training.

*Option free/voluntary work placement where students can come in to one of our working salons and practice their skills in a supportive and positive environment giving students an opportunity to work independently as a Groomer with their own clients.

Dual Certificate 3 in Animal Care Services (Pet Grooming) is a Nationally recognised Certificate in Pet Grooming.   Students will learn the practical skills needed to complete grooming services of different breeds and coat types, pet first aid, dog anatomy and dog psychology whilst gaining hands on experience with real day to day grooming situations and  exposure to clientele in an operating salon.  All students will complete their practical assessments for accreditation during their course.

Pet Grooming Course – Fast Tracked 

5 Day  – $3,800 + gst   OR   10 Day  – $4,990 + gst

This course is suitable for those students wanting to fast track their learning with intense  tuition.  Students will learn the foundations of grooming which include washing, drying, brushing, trim nails. shave pads and sanitary areas on a live dog.  Upon completion of this course, students will learn how to wash and blow dry a dog,  choose the correct length to clip the coat using the right techniques and equipment to complete a groom from start to finish.  Upon completing this course, students will be job ready to enter the workforce within the industry of Pet Grooming.

PRACTICAL TRAINING – These courses are practical hands on training on live dogs from day 1, no time is taken up doing online assessments or course work.  As the Pet Grooming industry is not regulated, you don’t need any qualification to work as a Pet Groomer, but you do need to know how to perform the role of a Pet Groomer!!.  The training caters for students wanting to get started in the Pet Grooming Industry or existing groomers wishing to up-skill, with a focus on practical training within a working salon, students will experience real day to day pet grooming situations, clientele, time frames and an array of breeds and grooming techniques.  Students will learn how to complete grooming services across different breeds and coat types along with safe work practices, pet first aid, dog anatomy and dog psychology whilst gaining hand on experience in a working salon. These courses are tailored to the individual students learning requirements and abilities and can be adapted to students without any experience in the industry to those who are already working in the industry and wanting to upskill .  No experience is required to complete these courses.

The 20 day  Intermediate Training Course covers Foundations of Grooming plus Intermediate Training in grooming.   The course is a practical based course and covers all aspects of grooming small breed dogs.  Students will leave this course with the knowledge to build on their skills and become successful Pet Groomers.

The 40 Day Advanced Training Courses covers Foundations of Grooming, Intermediate Grooming plus Advanced Training in breed styles and scissoring.  This course is for those wishing to consolidate everything they have learnt in the Intermediate course and move on to work on more advanced scissoring skills and breed styles.  This is a fast track course on breed styles.  Students who complete this course will be issued with an AAPPG Certificate in Advanced Training.

The 60 Day Gold Class training covers everything taught in the Foundation, Intermediate plus Advanced Course plus further training in working in and running a Salon.  Ideal for those wanting to start their own business and be ready to supply a professional service to their clients.  Students completing this course will be able to stay in training for a few extra weeks working on their own to gain experience and confidence in a supervised environment until they are ready to go out on their own.

Grooming Assistant Foundation Training

10 Day course – $3,500 + gst

This course covers the foundations of pet grooming for employment as a Grooming Assistant or Animal Attendant. Offers pathways to  complete the Intermediate or Advanced Training.

Cat Grooming Workshop

3 day workshop – $3,500+ gst

This course is to cater for students wanting to learn the basics of cat grooming including lessons on washing, drying and style clips.

Gold Class Training Programme  Also suitable to Overseas Students wishing to study Certificate 3 in Animal Care Services – Pet Grooming in Australia (this course goes for 1 year, other certificate courses can be added to this to make up a 2 year programme)

Course Cost – 12 months – $45,000

This course is tailored to students who wishes to go on and find work within the industry as a Senior Grooming, Salon Manager or open their own business.  The course will cover Certificate 3 in Animal Care Services Pet Grooming,  plus Foundations of Grooming, Intermediate and Advanced training plus Cat Grooming through to Professional Groomer and Salon Management.  Students will gain extensive training on dog and cat breeds where confidence is achieved with repetition and the opportunity to grow and learn under the guidance and support of a Trainer.  Students will learn all aspects of running a Salon including but not limited to customer consultations, how to schedule appointments and pricing structures.  This is also an appropriate course for overseas students wanting to study Pet Grooming in Australia.
